When managing material collection events, it’s essential to accurately add and manage locations where collections will take place. Locations can include event sites, drop-off points, processing facilities, or storage areas. The "New Location" feature in Circular.eco allows event managers to seamlessly add and manage these locations.
How to Add a New Location
- Navigate to the Locations Tab: On the Circular.eco dashboard, click on the "Locations" tab at the top of the page.
- Create a New Location: Select the "Add New Location" button. This will open the "New Location" form where you can input all the necessary details about the location.
- Fill in Location Details: Enter information such as the location name, address, contact information, and website if applicable. As you start typing the address, the system will provide autocomplete suggestions to help accurately pinpoint the location. Select the correct address from the list to save time and reduce errors.
- Map Integration: Utilize the interactive map to pin the precise location. You can click and drag the marker to adjust the exact position, which is particularly useful for large venues or outdoor locations. The map view can also be used to verify that the entered address aligns with the intended physical site.
- Save Location: Once all details are entered correctly, click the "Save Location" button to add this location to your list of available sites for future events.
Best Practices
- Accuracy is Key: Double-check the address and contact information to avoid confusion on the event day.
- Use Descriptive Names: When naming locations, use easily recognizable names, e.g., "Martin Luther King Park – Buffalo, NY," to help identify the venue quickly.
- Leverage the Map: Use the map feature to fine-tune the pin location, ensuring GPS directions lead attendees to the correct spot.
- Utilize Autocomplete: Always select from autocomplete options to maintain consistent and accurate address formats.
